Ali Zareh PT, DPT, MScPT, CGIMS

Ali is a highly qualified and very experienced physiotherapist. He has been practicing physiotherapy for the past 35 years. Ali holds a Bachelor of Science and a master degree in physical therapy. He also holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy from Andrews University in Michigan, USA.

 

Ali has completed a postgraduate program in advanced musculoskeletal physical therapy in Toronto. He has also completed a medical acupuncture program with McMaster University. Ali is a cerificant of the Gunn Intramuscular stimulation program from University of British Columbia in Vancouver and is an active member of The Canadian Institute for the study and treatment of pain.

 

Ali is a very passionate physiotherapist and loves working with people. His areas of clinical interest are orthopaedic physiotherapy, sport injuries, chronic pain and post-op rehabilitation of ligaments and joint arthroplasty.

Mary Kazem PT, MSc, BScPT

Mary has been practicing physiotherapy since 1990. She holds a Bachelor and Master Degree in Physiotherapy. She has extensive experience in different physiotherapy setting including private practice, hospitals and working with seniors. She has an extensive range of expertise; working in several areas, including; Orthopaedics, Neurology, Rheumatology, Geriatrics and Pelvic Health physiotherapy.

 

Mary strongly believes that treatment should be evidence based and patient centered. Her treatments consist of manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education.

Mary is a very dedicated physiotherapist and very passionate toward her work. Mary has special interest in pelvic health physiotherapy and Orthopaedic physiotherapy cases.

 

Mary enjoys treating common pelvic floor conditions including pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic organs pain, and urinary incontinence. Mary has also experience working with women both pre-natal and post partum to ensure a healthy pelvic floor both before and after giving birth.

Moe Fasihi, B.A, Hons Kin ,MScPT, Registered Physiotherapist

Moe holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from York University and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from the Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. He regularly pursues post-graduate courses to stay updated with the latest advancements in his field. Moe’s treatment approach focuses on analyzing the entire individual to identify the root cause of movement issues. By employing evidence-based techniques, he aims to provide efficient and effective treatment, resulting in faster recovery for patients.

Moe finds complex conditions particularly intriguing, as they allow him to utilize his problem-solving skills. His personal experience in various sports has given him valuable insight into different injuries and the recovery process.

In his practice, Moe employs a multimodal treatment approach that combines education, manual therapy, soft tissue work, corrective exercises, acupuncture, dry needling, active tissue release, blood flow restriction training, cupping, graston, taping, and modalities to address muscle imbalances. He emphasizes patient education during sessions, empowering them to actively participate in their rehabilitation process.

Moe is actively involved in his profession and specializes in Concussion, TMJ Disorders, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Acupuncture, and Dry Needling. Moe has particular interest in orthopaedic conditions and managment of post operative conditions. He is a member of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, actively participating in their Orthopaedic Division. Currently, he is pursuing his FCAMPT certification, the highest level of training in orthopedic manual physiotherapy. Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance running, tennis, badminton, soccer, and working out.

Kian Yahyee, B.A, Hons Kin, MScPT, Physiotherapy Resident

Kian studied his Bachelor of Honors in Kinesiology at Western University where he developed a knack for understanding the human body with regards to movement and the intricacies of biomechanics. He later built on his knowledge by continuing overseas and studying physical therapy in the UK.

 

As a child, Kian enjoyed numerous sports like playing basketball and competing in track and field.  He was always curious about the nuances of optimal performance and all possible details that comprised physical achievement in sports. His curiosity along with a desire to engage in human interactions, led him to studying physical therapy whereby he could help people live better through lessened pain, improved function, and greater overall health.

 

He takes a multi-dimensional approach to improving physical function and constantly strives to improve his work by staying updated on current research. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to his favorite podcasts, surfing YouTube, and keeping an eye on the Raptors!

Sara Keshavari, B.Sc. Hons Kin, MScPT, Physiotherapy Resident

Sara completed her master’s in physical therapy from Queen’s University and holds a bachelor of science with honours in kinesiology from York University.

 

As a competitive volleyball and badminton player for over a decade, Sara developed a keen interest in active living and the human body. Her academic pursuits deepened her understanding of the biomechanics and physiological intricacies of movement. Drawing on her academic background, Sara provides a client-centered care by tailoring the treatment plan to address your specific needs and goals.

 

Sara employs a variety of techniques in her practice including manual therapy, exercise prescription, soft tissue release, taping, electrotherapy, posture and ergonomic correction, and injury prevention strategies. Sara believes in patient empowerment through education, ensuring individuals play an active role in their rehabilitation journey.

 

Sara utilizes evidence-based treatment, proven techniques, and latest research in the field of physiotherapy when structuring her individualized programs. Sara plans to take post-graduate courses to refine her skills and expand her knowledge. In her spare time, Sara loves to play and coach volleyball, workout, and go skiing.

Maryam Zarazvand B.Sc. (Hon), D.Ch., Chiropodist

Maryam Zarazvand is a licensed Chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. Maryam’s passion in helping others and knowing the importance of the foot health led her to pursue her degree in Chiropody from the Michener Institute of education at UHN.

 

Prior to that she holds a degree in Kinesiology with Honours from York University. Maryam has had experience in community health center, family health team and private setting. Maryam strives to do her best to get her patients back on their feet and improve the quality of life of every patient she sees.

Josie Ward, Doctor Of Chiropractic

Dr. Josie Ward is an evidence based chiropractor and acupuncture provider. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, a Masters degree in Kinesiology at Western University and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Prince Edward Island. 

 

Dr. Ward uses a multimodal approach to care which includes a combination of soft tissue therapy, chiropractic adjustments, mobilizations, acupuncture, taping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), exercise rehabilitation programs, and more to help promote recovery and prevent reoccurrence of injury. 

 

Dr. Ward actively takes post-graduate courses to stay up to date on the latest research, she has an interest in female care, treating young-middle age athletes, and lower extremity injuries such as muscle imbalances, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, and more.

 

When she isn’t in the office you can find her out training for her next half marathon as she enjoys long distance running and working out in the gym. She also has a background in basketball and competitive jump rope and still enjoys partaking in friendly competitions between her friends. 

Susan Patterson RMT, CDT, Registered Massage Therapist

Susan Patterson is a Registered Massage Therapist with over a decade of experience to her name, graduating from Sutherland-Chan Massage School & Teaching Clinic in 2006. While cultivating her techniques in Swedish, deep tissue, and pre & post-natal massage, Susan continually broadens her knowledge of manual therapy and effective client care, demonstrating her passion for her profession. As a Certified Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist, Susan provides gentle and effective treatment for lymphedema, restless leg syndrome, vascular edema, pregnancy related swelling, among other conditions, and can also provide lymph taping.

Susan offers BioFlex Cold Laser Therapy to complement her massage treatments, helping to reduce inflammation and aid in the treatment of joint pain, soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries. Susan has also completed training in NISA myofascial release. Furthermore, Susan is trained in the level 2 ELDOA technique to help guide clients in self-care. Susan truly believes that touch has the power to heal. Her calm personality translates into insightful hands, providing all of her clients with a caring and personalized treatment.

Devorah Eisenman, B.H.K., RMT, Massage Therapist

Devorah became a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) after graduating from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2006 and is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO). She obtained a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with Honours in Kinesiology from the University of Windsor in 1990, where she assisted with massage techniques as a student volunteer for the University of Windsor Track and Field Team. She has also completed the Fitness Leadership Certificate Program at Seneca College (1997).

 

Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Joint Mobilizations, as well as General Swedish Massage techniques, include some of the modalities she may incorporate to treat specific issues/conditions that a client may present with, to facilitate their optimal care and healing.

Maria Buzas RMT, Registered Massage Therapist

Maria graduated from Medix college and has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist servicing clients of all ages. She enjoys incorporating different techniques in her treatments. She modifies her pressure according to her client’s preference or needs and likes to take the time to focus on her client’s concerns. She believes massage therapy is a big part of self care and physical maintenance and is passionate about helping her clients get the results they need.

Brianna Matthews, Patient Experience Manager

Brianna is a graduate from Durham College with an Advanced Diploma in Legal Administration.

 

She has extensive experience working in both administrative work and customer service. She genuinely loves to help others and support clients while utilizing her interpersonal and communication skills.
