How long is a physiotherapy session?
An initial consultation is approximately one hour. Follow-up treatment sessions are generally about 30 to 40 minutes.
Do I need a doctor's referral for physiotherapy?
No. A doctor's referral is not generally required to receive physiotherapy services at a private clinic. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a referral from your family doctor or another healthcare provider before they reimburse treatment. Check your specific plan for its requirements.
Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP?
